When I received this jump rope it was packaged in hard molded plastic. The rope is made of PVC rubber, and is tangle resistant. It's 7' long so everyone can use it. My grandson is 6' tall and easily used the rope. I like the foam handle grips, they are comfortable in your hand and won't slip when you start sweating. The ball bearings in the handles allow the rope to glide smoothly as you jump.It came with a fact sheet, I was amazed to learn that jumping rope works fifteen muscles in the human body. I think it's a great addition to your workouts. I give it 5 stars for durability, it's easy to wipe down when your done and doesn't absorb water like a traditional jump rope.
